So the word was “accessorize” and honestly, I don’t like accessories. I’ve been wearing this gold necklace for years now, because it’s heart shaped (my name means heart in Chinese), it has a horse on one side (I’m born horse year), the pendant’s from my grandma and the chain is from my mom. Oh and it says “Fortune” on it. 😀 So it’s kind of like a good luck charm. Then for bracelet I usually just wear a watch. Yea I have to wear a watch… have to know the time or else I’m scared I’ll miss something lol.

Sooooo for this theme I tried something more of a “on-me” accessory, like makeup (which I rarely use) and nailpolish (which I rarely use also). Jess recommended learning makeup, so I tried. but I’ve just reminded myself again that 1) I can’t do makeup 2) don’t try this again until I learn something about makeup. Natural beauty is the best, right?? Or at least I hope so in my dreamworld. And nailpolish is a no because I get distracted by my nails too easily. lol. BUT if you like nailpolish check out my friend’s site: 🙂 Pretty cool designs. I only have like 3 colors that I use–the green/enamel, purple silver, and soft pink.

Anyway, I’m off to NY to visit a friend and my roommate. 😀 Doubt I’ll do any shopping there but I might go to some Asian party hahaha.

So the “random”ish word of the day was accessorize. 😀 And since I lack majorly in accessories, and I was at Xinnie’s house, I borrowed a hapless bystanding chipmunk and bear and stuffed them down my dress. I’m sure they didn’t mind. It’s quite roomy over there. 😦

And there you have it. Really crappy accessorizing. I guess I could’ve at least worn shoes…

So obviously, I need a better quality camera, a better way of putting the pictures together, better facial control, and better self-camera skills. Also, I need sleep.

When I thought of mutinous, my first thought was of me pouting at my parents when they told me “NO BOYFRIENDS UNTIL COLLEGE”, which I listened to like a deaf person. I sincerely wanted to hear what they were saying, but couldn’t. Damn hormones.

Anyway, I chose the most modest, old-lady-esque dress I had (my cousin bought it from France and didn’t like it), and underneath wore the red halter top bra straps (from taiwan nightmarket). Then I wore boots (from tw department store), and put on a belt (gift from a friend). Then I slightly moosed (<==I like this spelling better) my hair, put on gratuitous amounts of hooker-like make up, and added tacky jewelry (gift from a friend. No offense friend).

So as you may notice, I’m not rich like Xin [sob], and I don’t have much of a habit of getting things from malls. I also rarely do the self-photographing thing. Also, my clothes are much much much more boring. I’ll be much happier when the word is something along the lines of “normal bystander on a street corner that you don’t really notice”. I’m not sure there’s a word for that, but give the SAT people a few years and they’ll create it.

Background info? I’m really tired. Just ran 3 miles. Good night.

So this is supposed to be a fashion blog I’m sharing with my awesome girlie Jess, but I really don’t know what to write…. I’ve had a Xanga before but I’ve never written on clothes. >.> Haha I guess I’m more visual than literary when it comes to these type of things (like pictures and art instead of text).

I’ll start with a brief intro I guess. I’m Xin and I’m currently a college student with not so much money to spend on clothing and shoes. But I’m pretty good at spotting interesting things in cheap stores. 🙂 Well what Jess and I decided is to use a random word generator and use whatever it spit out as the theme of our outfit/blog. This time it was “Mutinous”… but honestly the first thing I thought of was Wall-E’s captain guy screaming “Mutiny!” at the robot commander. Hehe great movie. Anyway, other things I thought of included boots, red hair, and unusual top (in this case a cool back).

The picture up there is my outfit for “mutinous”. Okay, I guess it doesn’t look that rebellious, but I like it nonetheless. The pink striped shirt is from Wet Seal, the skirt is from Hot Topic, and the boots are American Eagle from Payless. Oh, and the red hair is from Hot Topic too. This is the first time wearing the pink top, though I think it’s long enough to be a dress on its own. I even bought a wide belt just so that I can wear it with this top/dress. I really like the back though! And my hair… well I had short hair for a while and then decided to grow it out, so right now it’s at this awkward mid-way length. In the picture I actually curled it a bit and clipped it up in parts to give it a fuller look.

I really like doing hair haha. I love cutting hair, so hopefully when it grows out a little more I can style it better. ^^ And if you can’t tell already, I really like taking narcissistic photos. I just got a new Mac so I’m learning how to use Gimp (was always a Photoshop person). The names and things are different but overall the functions are the same so yay. Still have to get used to new things before I really get back into Photoshop art…. of mainly making Facebook profile pics (and drawing, of course!)

Oh, right, fashion. Hmmm. I really like Asian fashion, especially the schoolgirl look. I have so many pleated plaid skirts and ties. Maybe I’ll post some pics from my photoshoots before. Even this “mutinous” look has a pleated dark blue plaid skirt (with lace!). It’s really cute. I really like Hot Topic clothing – the punk/gothic types. But if I don’t pull them off right I look like I’m in the wrong country or something… But I love ribbons and lace so oh well.

Anyway, welcome to the blog where I’ll try to chat about fashion but will probably go off to random tangents. XD

❤ Xin

Woohoo we have a post! 😀 First word: mutinous .
